Stockholm, friends, Leftovers and Timo.

I have quite an update to make. I´ll start by going back 2 weeks.
Two weeks ago I went to Stockholm to meet up with a friend because we were going to the Manu Chau gig together. The gig was really wonderful and I loved it! Besides going to the concert, we walked a lot in Stockholm..I love it, specially the Old City, because of the coffe houses and the stores..it was rather cold, but it´s cold everywhere now..winter is on it´s way!



Back home again, I received a phone call from an old teacher of mine, who was also my mentor during my teacher trainee, and she asked me to substitute her for 2 weeks while she was away in Spain. So, last week and this, I have been working full time. Teaching kids in the mornings and adults at evenings. It´s exhausting!! Really difficult thing to do while trying to write a thesis..=s..btw, my tutor is really annoying..I can´t really put my finger on it, but I really dislike her...she has to get her way all the time, or she´ll "punish" us if we contradict anything she sais..she was teaching us that the modern way of spelling "México" is Méjico and that everybody should spell it like that from now on. Of course, I got pissed and told her that the reason for it´s spelling has to do with the origin of the word, "Méxica"..but she got mad and didn´t stopped. Her arguement: "You´ve lived here since you were very young, right? so, that´s why you don´t know what´s going on in the Spanish speaking country. Trust me, this is the way it SHOULD me spelled." =s
Really annoying person..worst part, she is my tutor and basically wanting me to change almost my entire thesis...=s..=(

Well, on to fun things. Last Friday, one of my best friends decided to come here to visit me and another friend of ours. We had a blast!!!With her coming over, she brought a lot of old pics, so I´ll upload those with the ones taken this weekend..I wish I could see her more often..luckely, I have my other friend here, so I´ll survive for now..until she decides to move away as well..=(














Yesterday I went to see Timo Räisänen *love*. He was amazing!!!Absolutly loveeeeddd it!!We (my friend and my sister) were front road!!Got some really nice pics but I haven´t uploaded them to the pc yet..more pics of the Timo gig later on..
Please download Timo´s "My Valentine"...I lovveeeeeeee that song!!Current favourite song right now. Oh, also, "Fear No Darkness". Timo was lovely..we got to talk to him and even got his autograph =D. The band that played before Timo was "The Leftovers", a Swedish band who is still rather unknown. The guys were great and I talked to the leadsinger..oh, those eyes.=) I asked him where you could by their album but he said that you could download their songs from their myspace site..I haven´t found the site yet, but I´ll put it here as soon as I have..a really must for those craving for new Swedish music..=) For now, this is their picture.




Oh, at the gig there where some guys from Rockfoto.nu and they were taking pics of fans..haha, so guess who´s there?=p

Oh, a very important thing I almost forgot. There has been a breakthrough in the research of ALS!!It was on the news this weekend, and scientists have found a link between the patiens with inheritage ALS and those who got it by other reasons..(94% of the people suffering with ALS belongs to this group, as no one knows why they get it). Still, this is a big step because now it makes it easier in finding a cure or a medicine to stop this illnes. I hope the scientist will make another breakthrough soon.

Stress, stress, stress..

Nothing has changed much since the last time I wrote. I´m still very much stressed with my thesis..first draft need to be ready by tomorrow, plus I haven´t finished reading the book I was supposed to have finish reading..(we have to read one book every week and then analize it)..so, today I´m taking the day off. Oh, this is me taking a break btw..writing here to vent things is my view of a break..as long as I don´t turn on the TV I´ll be fine..

Anyway, as I said..I´m taking the day off from work today..I just can´t go to work today..I need to finish writing today!!A friend is filling in for me, so that´s good.
Oh, last Thursday was the cinnamon-bun day..and I worked handing out buns..300 buns were handed out in less than 2 hours..people are really into buns!!A man asked me how much the bun was and I said they were free..he said he had to shake my hand, my very tiny hand (his words) and then he said that he wanted to take my tiny hand home with him!!*chocked!*..hahaha! I said, well, I need my hand, so byebye...haha!He was around 60 years old!

Oh, this week has been difficult for other reasons..the distance is really really being hard on my relationship...I miss him so much!!! We´ve been having some very serious and long talks about what´s going to happen..so far we´ve decided that as long as we love each other, we´ll make an effort and see where things head...it´s just so difficult right now..but I´m glad I have him..

Let´s see..what else is there to tell. Oh, I´ve recently joined Facebook..I´ve found people there I went to middle-school with!!It´s so much fun finding the old friends that you for some reason lost touch with..and then there are some that you don´t dare adding as friends as I´m not sure they´ll remember..but as I said..it´s fun anyway.

On Friday I´m heading off to Stockholm!!I looovveee Stockholm, but I´m a small town girl..I couldn´t live there I think...but I love to visit there. I´m staying at a friends´because we´re going to see Manu Chau on Sunday..it should be fun..I met him this summer and even ate with him and the other guys from Radio Memba..
I shall post the pic, but I look hidous..I had been working all morning, but that´s no excuse..I gained a lot of weight during the summer..=( (I blame mum, she over fed me when I stayed home this summer)..but luckely I´ve lost it all now..I´ve been working out quite much lately...


And this is my friend, the one who worked as a volounteer with me during this festival..
